Default H or X pipe

I am looking to get an H or X pipe with cats (stupid PA). Which will provide the best performance gains. Which will provide the best sound?

almost no difference in performance, i would get hte catted. no chance to be fined, no smelly car and it won't be obxiously loud

X gives more horsepower, H gives more torque. Both sound great.

Eh, pretty much everything I've seen suggests that on our cars it doesn't make one damn bit of difference. I say H for sound and I've had BOTH.

The numbers are within 2-3 on the wheels (Hp and tq...) so it's all a matter of the sound
x's will be more raspy and h's a bit deeper :-p IMHO the Mac Prochamber is the best :-p

H-pipe if you want to sound deep. X-pipe if you want to be loud.

hmm if I ever get LT headers I think I'll get a short offroad H, other than that I wouldn't swap out my X...also, does the catalytic converter really make a difference in the gas smell coming from you're car? if so I think I just found out that my X pipe is O/R

I'm a big H pipe guy. My opinion is either the H pipe or go Prochamber if you have the cash!
