Default Mustang Gt vs WS6

if it was a stock gt, the WS6 would win right?

thats putting it mildly

a LS1 is 13.00
99-04 is 14.00
06 is 13.5

those are al really rough numbers,

basically, there are no stock GT's layign waste to an LS1 yet

uh, a supercharger.

an LS1 WS6 will out trap a stock GT by about 8-10 mph.

Even with full bolt ons it's gonna be close. Gears and good tires will make the GT a lil faster then a stock WS6 with a good driver. Supercharger and call it a day.

Good idea, but there are many fast GTs out there.

(I'm actually kicking around the idea of an 03/4 Cobra myself.)

yea, ford's solution to the LS1 is simple.



Terminator engine.

why build a car just a little faster, when you can build a motor that can make enough power to destroy them all, without ever having to remove the valve covers?

this number has been on a steady decline since I joined this site. there was a time when the LS1 guys on here were braggin about their consistent 13.6-8s (on a thread about a GTP killing a mustang GT). Off the showroom floors, the 05 GTs will give a ws6 a good run for its money, but if the ls1 driver knows what hes doing hell win. it would be incredibly difficult to beat an ls1 in a new edge GT (it would take an old rusty driver gasget for that). now, stock LS1 with DRs will hit a 13.0 pretty easily. thats what im seeing for the most part in ls1 techs time slips area. then there are the guys with solid high 12s with gears DRs and a couple bolt ons. I could definitly see a new edge with a good set of DRs and maybe gears (but maybe not) taking out a completely stock ls1 in the quarter mile, but that ls1 would be reelin him in big time. on a street race there isnt much hope cuz there isnt a finishline.
