too many mods so slow of a time
hey people, i went to the track two fridays apart. almost the same weather conditions, i was running my 02 gt
friday #1
BBK Cold Air Induction
BBK 1635 OFF ROAD X-PIPE
FLOWMASTERS EXHAUST
HYPERTECH Power Programmer III
ran a 15.23
and then friday#2
the same previous mods plus this ones
BBK 16150 SHORTY HEADERS
BBK High Flow Inlet Plenum
BBK 75MM Throttle Body
FORD RACING 3.73 Ring and Pinion Gears
and i ran that same time, i gave it the possibility of being a bad driver so i gave my pride a little rest and had my friend that runs 12s and let him take my car for a run and guess what ran a 15.21. i was hoping for at least a 14.7 after the mods
not even a full tenth what can be wrong with my car? or are we just lousy drivers?
oh another thing, after i installed the gears and the headers, i got a noise coming from my driver side seems to me like a little clinking kind of like a purr but almost metal like could this be the issue?

exhaust leak?(that being the header?)
i only spin on first, second is putting right to the ground. third is a long shot from spinning. to reduce spin what do you consider launching at?

well what are you launching at? on street tires you launch at anything above idle really and you'll spin. also, are you going around the burnout box or through it? do you spin them just a little before you stage to make sure they are clean?
describe to us exactl what you are doing, and post up all the info on your time slip.

The Shorties are almost totally useless btw. You MIGHT have picked up 2-4 RWHP with em peak, and maybe 5-6 under the peak. They are simply not worth it from a power perspective.

RE: too many mods so slow of a time
Agreed. 15's with any performance parts at all? That's crazy. I ran a bone stock 14.4. Maybe you should invest in a high performance driver??? Or the tune could have actually hurt the car if you maybe messed up on it? No clue, but something's wrong if you're runnin 15's at all.
