Default will a 5.0 drop right into an SN95???

I'm just curiosu b/c this kid with a Fox Body mustang that was in bad shape, the tranny just blew and he got a 2000+ Audi, I'm thinking about getting the engine, I would get the whole car for under 1k most likely, but its in such bad shape, needs paint bad, needs engine work b/c it burns oil, and needs a new tranny. So would a 5.0 drop right into a 4.6 SN95? I'm considering it b/c things are dirt cheap for 5.0s

in theory yes but you will need different motor mounts, crossmember, tranny and driveshaft. It can be done though because the SN95 originally came with the 5.0

Yep, you can do it, but obviously it's not a DROP IN project, loots of electrical work too.

Now, a carbed 5.0 would be super easy. But why would you buy a car with a bad motor to use the motor out of?
