$3000 is a better figure and I can do most of the porting and polishing myself (personal experiance on chevy crap) But there is some area's that I cannot do that I will have a shop take care of for me. Im very careful when I port a head, i take measurments and make sure I know how much I have taken out and how close I am getting to varios passages. But if i am going to spend $3000 on heads I guess I should have a shop do it because if they screw up they have to replace them.

I plan to take the Forced Induction route with a Twin Turbo setup, but before I do that I am going to rebuild the bottom end anyways, so at that time I can get the heads as well. Untill I have all the parts sitting in my room I will not do much to the car, some suspension, tranny rebuild, gears and thats about it. I am expecting to hi and exceed $10,000 easy on the car [8D] but hey, speed and reliability costs moolah$$$

hahahah 10,000....i guarantee you'll be hitting 20,000 just in parts....going fast costs to much money, thats why i sold both of my cobras

ya most likely, but if i trick myself into thinking is a smaller amount then I will be more willing to go ahead with the modifications... If i think about the money then i get discuraged..... Really wish I could get your buddies car. I would just take off the super and add the twin turbo kit seeing how it is already setup for lower compression as well because of the current FI he has on there.

Some people are telling me to stick with my V6.... Im like... I dont have the money for that.... LOL hell modding a V6 the right way for boosted aps and the way I WANT IT will cost more then a V8 X_X the V6 will be down the road when I have another car and more experiance.
