Save your money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree. Its an expensive mod with a minimal gain. This is something I would do last.
SO is an aftermarket catted h-pipe without a set of headers. I loved the throttle response I got when I put on my new plenum and 75mm TB. You can def tell a difference. Everyone that says it is not worthwhile is always someone that doesn't have one. Just because the peak power gain is only 8-10 HP doesn't mean you only feel the effect at 5K+ RPM's. The whole entire power curve is shifted up 5-10 HP with a TB+Plenum combo, that is better than most mods which give you 5 HP at the peak and that's it. The best mod I think I have done yet to my car. I think that will change when I install my LT Headers this weekend. If you get the TB+Plenum you will love it and notice a difference I assure you.

Actually, I currently have a Flowmaster 40 series with an after cat exhaust system already installed.

My thought was I am not utilizing the full potential of my exhaust system because I am not getting as much air through that I can push out.

That is why I was pricing the CAI, 75mm TB and Accufab Intake Plenum

You won't feel really any HP gains out of it. You will only really feel alot of throttle respone. Thats if you get a CAI,TB, and a Plenum.

I found it made an immediate favorable change in my car, it was my third mod. To really get a noticeable change though, change your cat pipe to an X or H pipe with hi-flow cats or Off road. I've got an X with hi-flow cats, shorty headers, and your cat back setup. Sounds awesome, loud and deep, and the power improvement was the most noticeable aspect. The original pipe has 4-6 cats dependant on year, and they are highly restrictive.

Do a CAI, udps, for now, then focus on the exhaust before doing the tb/plenum.

Cody,

Just looked at your pictures and I have but one question... What were you thinking taking your eyes off the road to snap a photo at 150 mph?
I don't take my eyes off the road, I simply use a velcro strap to hold a camera on my steering wheel and hit the shutter button with my finger.

The air entering the engine is still metered by the MAF, so I would say it does not use more gas for normal daily driving.
