Does anyone know how must a ball joint is? And if I can replace it myself or not. How much would labor be if I cant?? Thanks

I have the crack noise when I turn the wheel, but I dont get the other noise. I have no idea what it is.

I've changed, many, many, balljoints on Ford vehicles, if they are driven easy, 100K miles are possible, if driven hard, back in my fleet manager days I saw 30 - 40K miles and shot, GM and FORD. Yeah, you need a BJ job.
