Default Uh oh..What did I break??

So I was driving last week and I drove over a pothole in the road doing like thirty mph. It was my front passenger wheel. Now whenever I get on a bumpy road it starts to pop somwhere over by the passenger front wheelwell. It also pops whenever I turn the steering wheel all the way left. However it doesnt do it when I turn right. I have sportline springs also. I took the wheel off and looked around but i couldent see anything. Is it possible the the shock is busted?? If so does anyone know what a good setup of shocks would be for me? Thanks very much for any advice. By the way the car has 43, 000 miles.

Alex

when my car sits a bit, the first time I turn the wheel I get a clunk/crack. also when taking turns while rotating steering wheel I get the similar but louder sound.

It's either a ball joint or a strut mount, more than very likely the ball joint. Either they get loose or make noise, or crack.

well then I don't know, ball joints SHOULDN'T go bad that soon... but with 7k it still might be a warranty fixable item! I'd have them look at it if the sound gets worse, otherwise it's just a noise

Biggest reason for bad ball joints with low miles, excessive turning without the car rolling/moving.

I tell employee's that drive our company vehicles that if I have to replace ball joints that they will foot half the bill with me.
