Default Advice on replacing an Automatic transmission with a Manual

I'm thinking about changing out my automatic transmission for a manual. Is there any place in particular that specializes in this kind of stuff for Mustangs ?

if I were to change my transmission, would it be just like a manual GT ? I heard that once you change the transmission, the car will never drive the same again. (in a bad way)

That doesnt make any since. I would think however that before you swap out a trannie, see what you can do with yours. Either that, or sell yours a buy a 5 speed. Should be able to at least trade even with one, the automatic is considered worth more money to blue book.

Im assuming you have zero mods. If you have a bunch, obviously swapping cars would be a bitch. I would probably get a shift kit before I swaped trans. A shift kit changes the shift points of your stang, and makes the shifts stronger. Correct me if im wrong, but this can be done with a chip right?

well, heres the thing, I have a chip in it, I bought it from a dealership and the pervious owner did some stuff to it, I know they did something to the exhaust, and they put a chip in it. I have no idea what they did to it, I do know that it kills most GT's that have various mods done to it.
