yeah a 14.3 was my best time but i was running consistent with 14.5 (yeah on street tires) i hoping at least a 14.0 with my 2004 gt (cai, took off 2 cats, and flowmasters) did i do something wrong or is this a normal run...planning to get nittos drag radials hoping that would get me to see the 13's...any suggestions would be really great thanks

What are your launches looking like? what about your 60s?

Stick or automatic? Convertable or regular??

Was there a ton of wheelspin or did you launch pretty well?

well i launch at around 2500rpm and my 60s are 2.2, and its a 5 speed coupe and there was a little wheel spin in first gear and more than usual in 2nd it was longer than just a chirp.

I would say work on your launches. As long as your shifting quickly thru the gears. A no spin launch should net you a 14.0 flat. Might take a few practice runs to get there, but any good driver should be able to get a 14 out of a stock GT

I think the last time I launched on the street I was around 2200 RPM. Work on letting out the clutch and applying the gas just fast enough to not spin, but still not bog. Whatever you do dont snap the clutch to hard, and try to gently roll into the gas.

well i think im gonna get some nittos and see where i get with that hopefully under 14's then im thinking of going 3.73 instead of the 3.55's that i heard come stock with the 2004 gt

Your 60' times aren't all that bad. Some other guy posted where he had the same exact 60' times as you and still ran 13.8 I think. My 60' times were similar to yours and I ran 13.8 at 101mph. The guy with the 13.8 ran it at 99 or so. Still sounds fishy to me, but w/e.

04s came withi 3.27s I think????

3.73s are a very nice upgrade, I still wont recommend anything higher, espcially if you plan on more power down the road.

I dont know if the Nitto 555R`s will even get you into the 13`s. About 3 weeks ago, I was at the track, there were alota GTs with 555R`s The only 2 stock GTs there, which had the 555R`s werent runnin but 14.4 and 14.1! Maybe they couldnt drive, maybe something was wrong with their car.......I dunno! But they still spun a little on the launch and spun in 2nd and 3rd. If you do get them, be sure to burn the **** out of `em! It looked to me like they were just tryin to get the wet off of them................................OH!!! Be sure when you race, to take out your spare and everything..........And if you`re desperate, take out your passenger headlight(get more air to the intake)

Look at that sticker on the driver's side door sill. Look for the letters AX on the bottom right of the sticker. Below that is a letter. M is for 3.27 There are other gear ratios and I can look them up in my shop manual if you want them.
