Long sweeping turns, long straights, etc.
If you are going to be running through corners where you are dropping into 1st gear, you'd benefit from a stock replacement flywheel. Gears will help make up for the top-end you'll be giving up by going with a stock replacement.

funds have now been diverted. one final question, any idea how much it costs to have the stock flywheel resurfaced?
