RE: Question on what I need for an exhaust
A FULL aftermarket exhaust is made out of 3 main things. A catback, mid-pipe, and headers.
Most people get a catback first. It adds an excellent sound to the car. It still isn't real loud but it is definetely noticeable. You won't really notice any significant horsepower gains from a catback. Just sound that you will love (hopefully depending on the company you chose).
Next is the Mid-pipe. Once you add this, your car starts to wake up and is noticed much more. You can either get a H-Pipe or an X-pipe.
People get H-pipes if they want a deeper tone to their car.
People get X-pipes if they want a louder tone to their car.
The mid-pipe either comes with "high-flow cats" or Off-road (o/r). High-Flow Cats are street legal and are "enviornmental safe", they restrict bad things from exiting your exhaust. Off-road is not emissions legal as there are NO cat's to block. They are a bit louder and is really loud with the right catback.
Last is headers...which I don't know anything about!
Feel free to add anything if not make it a sticky.
