Hey I have a 04 mustang gt and i have a flowmaster exhuast and a AEM CAI and i was looking for a tuner before i get anything else because i heard that you can lean out your engine and possibly blow something ( LOOKING AT UPPER PLENUM AND TB). Do you know how rich you can run my engine with the stock injectors and fuel pump with just adjusting it with a tuner, and what tuner would be the best.

I dont think your going to lean your engine out through basic bolt on's. Once you start looking at timing adjusters, nitrous, and boost applications, is when your really going to have to worry about leaning out your conidtions enough to cause damage.

A Hand held flash tuner is an excellent way of learning whats going on in your motor, as well as making more power! I reccomend either the SCT Xcalibur 2 or diablosport predator. Both offer excellent opportunities for datalogging, and other features.

Yes you will lean out your motor with bolt on's. If you have full intake mods (cai/rai, TB, plenum) and full exhaust mods (LT's of shorties, o/r pipe, and catbcak) you will flow a lot more air in and out of your engine. I have seen dyno's where guys with tese mods are dropping their A/F ratio into high 10's low 11's. Very bad on a N/A motor. I believe you want at least 12.0. Yes lean is more power, but bad for motor, itgets VERY HOT and can burn valves and valve seals up.
