Default K & N air Filter

I just got a after market intake with some Crome disco looking airfilter. I want to pick up a K & N but most people Either say That K&N is BS, or they Rave about them. What to my Fellow Stang owners think?
Looking to get better Gas
-2000 gt
Stock
only mods are
Dual Flowmaster 40's
Drilled / Sloted Roters all around....

it just helps the air flow, nothing regarding HP though.
K&N filters are better then a fram air filters hands down!

I have a K&N CAI, I love it, but I kinda wish I had gone with one of the "In the fender" CAIs instead, as the heat screen that comes with the K&N CAI kit, does not fit flush against the body. By removing the air silencer, you are removing a restriction on the intake air flow... which is a good thing, so at least do that much.
