Default clutch or not clutch?

ive been following a discussion on this site about a guy who installed this kit and made his clutch feel completely different. im curious if thats all i need because i was under the impression i needed a whole new clutch. my 99 anniversarry limited edition GT (all mods except SC) has a king cobra (less than a year old) and it is very, very high. it will not grab 1st gear until almost toally released, in fact the pedal is so high i can not give full power and shift into 2nd with a grind. all other shifts are ok and the car pulls real strong in the higher gears. i already pulled up on the clutch with my hand like someone on this site told me to do but nothing happenned. if anyone can give me some feedback i would greatly appreciate it. thanks.
