Default Valve cover gaskets?

Since i have had my cams put in, i smell burning oil at a light now and again, i thought it was someone else, but i think it is me. And tonite, coming home from work, i let it run to redline in 4th then had to slow down for a light. at the light i had a good 2 sec of smoke from under the hood, then it stopped. My oil pressure was still good and when i got home, a quick look under the hood didnt turn up anything real obvious. I am thinking maybe the valve cover gasket is pinched or something? i didnt replace them when i took the covers off. Or could this be from my header leak that i am waiting on gaskets for?
