2003 Mach 1 for $15,000
 

I found a 2003 Mach 1 with 8,000 miles on it going for 15k.
what do these normally go for? Could anybody do a check on this vin: 1FAFP42R53F345556

The kbb values of private party sales is: excellent 18.720, good 17,645, fair 16245. Someone else with an active carfax could tell you about reported accidents or lemon or whatever, but it's possible he just wants to sell it fast for some reason (like the guy giving me 2k+ off kbb for my gt because he just bought a cobra).

Not necessarily, someone in a recent thread was trying to decide between a 99 and a 97 GT. The 99 GT had 19 records, all showed that it was cared for meticulously. You need to either wait till one of the members with an active carfax account can get the details, or you need to pay the money yourself (25 bucks kinda small compared to the car) and find out the details.

I'd get a car fax or oasis report :-p And check it out. GO to the car, look for visible damage, check the condition of the fluids that are in it now (yes, it is a factor, most dealers dont even change em for used vehicles), check the interior condition(leather, console, floor mats) Look and see if it has a/m parts, etc

Carfax is okay, but it's by no means the only way for you to determine if it's a clean car or not.

You need to check all the fenders for paint buildup, look for any orange peel around edges of fenders/doors. Pop the hood and see if the bolts holding the fenders inplace look like they are scuffed up or rounded off at all, etc etc etc

Just so everyone knows, the KBB values are pretty often low. The bank booked my car at like 12.5 at one time when KBB said 9k!

Carfax is all over it, says its got fraudulent mielage and possible salvage crap, it's been from Florida to Maine and back or something, here is a copy,,,,,,,,,, Be careful with this one, it might be a good deal, but it does not have a clean title.
