haven't seen much if any talk about the free gas pedal height adjustment mod. it applies to our cars as much as it does the sixers. nothing better than a free mod.

I used a 3/4" nylon spacer from a electronics store. I can take pictures of the needed parts if you want. I tried an inch before, but I thought it was too much. It makes it easier to get the pedal to wot. my floormats are thick, so it needed help.

So, the real question is.... Did it do anything aside from move the pedal up?

it's not supposed to do anything other than fix the retarded ford ergonomics. maybe other years are different, but my brake pedal was an inch higher than the throttle.

actually, it reasures you that your truely achieving WOT. Instead of hitting your carpet. Plus its now possible to heel-toe.

I don't mean to be negative, but I am going to check to see if I can get WOT with no spacer. The pedal is lower than the brakes, to allow the brakes to be applied with out accelerating the engine.(Some people are un coordinated or have really big feet). I saw a news clip some time ago about people hitting the gas and brake and running through their garages because of how the pedals were oriented.

Again, I haven't checked it out for my self. And I understand some people might like the pedal to be higher. But if you can get WOT with no spacer, what is the point.

Just my $.02
