Cobra Markings
Damit, I was bitten by the cobra bug (or snake), and I'm looking to get one. Anyway..
I was looking online an I noticed a number of variations in the badging. Some have cobra across the rear bumper, and some say mustang. Some have the pony in the front grill and some have the snake. Does this just reflect the year, or is there another reason for it? I guess the 4v under the hood is what I'm really after.

Its year dependent. 99 cobras have a different hood, front bumper, and badges, but the same rear bumper and grill emblem as the GT (says mustang). ALL SN cobra's have COBRA on the bumper and a snake badging on the grill and the sides. 99's are the only cobra that have mustang on the rear bumper.
Also, every single cobra is an SVT cobra.. some sites just list it different... unless your looking at fox body's.. the GT's were called Cobra GT's in Canada.. just a labeling difference, not a single other thing different.

I thought the cobra emblems on the grills were all aftermarket...not sure though. But on the 99/01 cobra it says SVT and cobra under the letters, on the 03/04 it says just SVT. I'm not sure about any other years but that's what I've noticed. Also the cobra hoods on 99/01 were the same as those year's V6 hoods. The only thing is the insulation under the hood will have "COBRA" spelled out vertically.

One more edit. I did see a few 96's with the running pony after page 2. Anyone know for a fact? Ive seen some showroom pics with the cobra emblem on them.. so Im officaly confused.
