Tri-ax shifter noisy?

RE: Tri-ax shifter noisy?
I used cobra bob's gasket and retained the stock boot thing.
I noticed no additional noise over stock.
I do notice more heat transfer, however my shift **** is a real 1ball which is an excellent insulator and is also nice if you have big hands.

Try buying a set of shifter gaskets. There was a sight called shiftergaskets.com a while back. I used permatex and now my shifter is firmly mated to my tranny. I can't install the damned gasket. There is a second gasket in the kit for mating the handle to the shifter, so I installed that, checked and reset the stop bolts, and it is quieter now. Most of my noise was 5th gear.
