Default Power Shifting

Exactly what is it ? I've heard a couple of different versions. Could the engine be damaged ?

okay power shifting is when your in any gear and as you go to shift gears instead of letting off the gas pedal you hold it down to the floor while the clutch is down and shift to the next gear then let out the clutch basically you never let off the gas and this probably will not **** up the engine but your tranny will be in pieces if you miss a gear...and heard it only take 2 tenths of a second off...wouldn't recommend power shifting with a t5 good luck though...

Like he said powershifting will ruin your tranny and quick. You are better of to learn shift timing and you will be almost as fast as power shifting.

What I do and it is damn fast is, as I push in the cluch I am taking the car out of gear as the pedel hits the floor I am into neutral, as i lift up on the pedel the tranny is just starting to go into the next gear and I begin to feed in throttle and to finish as the clutch pedel is up the tranny is in gear and the gas is to the floor. I have found this to be very quick and doesn't seem to hurt the tranny at all.

I have included a short clip of 4 gear quick shift. I was a little slow on the 1-2 because of a puddle in the road. 3-4 is super quick.

Enjoy!
