i have a problem too. i don't mean to threadjack but since we're on the subject. i just had some exhaust guys cut off the cats. there's two sets of plugs on my xpipe. i'm a big guy so i can't get under the car all too well and don't know anyone with a lift so that i can get a better look. all i know is that i saw two sets of plugs on the pipe. which set do i plug the mil eliminators into, the side closer to the headers or the side closer to the rear? i've had the light on for a while. i also heard that running without mil eliminators on a car without cats messes up the computer because it needs to read info from what the o2 sensors send it? idk. some help.

Bigbadracer: You are asking the right person!! I had the same problem since I got my H-pipe... first of all I dont know wich year or model is your car, but assuming that is a 99+GT the MIL's plug in the connectors that are closer to the rear of the car... there are 2 plugs, one for passenger side(purple) and one on the driver's side (blue) you just need to connect the MILs in line and that's it. It only took me 10 min. But before you do anything just go to autozone or some place where you can get the codes out for free! and make sure that the codes you are getting are po420 po430. This are the codes that you get when the cat system is not working right (because of the aftermarket pipes). then order you MIL's (I choose Steeda). About you computer getting messed up I asked the guy from steeda and he said that the computer will detect and error in the O2 sensors and that it will be running on a "safe mode" until you take care of the codes.. he said that the MIL's they sell will send to the computer a perfect reading so the car will perform at it's best.. I dont know if this is true (It may be BS) but this is what he said.. hope It helps..

hey guys im new here, but I saw something that I had to respond to so that someone doesn't waste there time and money, If you clear codes on your car right before having it tested , most states will not pass you because the computer reports that it has not completed a "drive cycle" certain parameters have to be reached before the vehicle is ready.

wow sorry guys didn't realize this post was this old! I was searching for something and stumbled across it, sorry!
