power limit?!??!?!
hey iv been reading that the stock block of the mustangs can only safly handle 400 - 450 hp?1 if that only for the 2v's? cause i have a mach 1 and i kjnow mine has a 4v and i didnt know if it was with all the mustang motors or just the 2 v's??! also should you have the same tred on all 4 tires or is it ok to have the two back tires different than the 2 front ones? i find it pulling to one side every once in awhile on the highway... im getting the front ones soon.

RE: power limit?!??!?!
The rotating assembly is the rods pistons and crank shaft. The mach's came with the same cast crank shaft that the gt did and also the same kind of pistons. So you will be limited to the 400 or so mark. Hey at least your closer to it from the begining though!

The limit isn't the block, its the rotating assembly. Not a good idea to make more than about 440 RWHP on a car that sees any use.

if i have 440.1rwhp does that count? hahah.

If your mach is a 5spd, I believe you already have the cobra crank in it. With that being said, the only thing you would need are some forged pistons and rods. Then you could have on hella shot of nitrous.

yea, you would have a higher limit that you can push if you get better internals like forged stuff... even new valvetrain and stuff helps too. id get new forged stuff over cryotreating your stock parts... but its been tempting for me to do this to the stock till i can afford a new motor....

You do realize the expense of pulling the motor down/ putting it back together, no? Do it once and do it right.
Rotating Assembly: Crankshaft, Connecting Rods, Pistons.
I believe manual mach's do have a forged crank, and automatics do not. Hence they have different redlines.
