Never buy a used turbo unless it has been rebuilt. They have special bearings in them that can go bad after many miles. They are pretty cheap to rebuild. You could actualy peice together your own single turbo kit for about 2000$ and run whatever psi you want, wich is way cheaper. But if you buy a kit be ready to pay 5000$-8000 wich in my opinion is totaly rediculous. The kit companys are just trying to make a fortune off one sell and use the excuse that there engineering cost alot, when in truth it the engineering that goes into these kits is not much at all its just a lot of fabing and setting up jigs to reproduce parts.

Not sure which is better...That's for you to decide, but the way i had it explained to me is that turbo's have lag where as supercharger's dont. One way to look at it is that a supercharger is constantly pushing air into your engine so the power is constant, and a turbo sucks the air in and once it gets full kinda like taking a deep breathe and then blowing it out a turbo is similar after it gets full it pushes the air into the engine. I hope this helps,

which one is better then?

If it is a roots style then yes the supercharger will make instant power, but a centrafugal will not boost any quiker than a turbo. If you select the proper Air relation on a turbo there will be no lag at all.

You can always stick a turbo AND a blower onto the same car...

That'll keep the ricers hiding in the shadows lol

turbo charger puts out more power then supercharger... i know superchargers put out around 6-12 psi... dont know how much turbo chargers put out on a 4.6, i couldnt tell you which is better though for a mustang though... twin turbo i can say is better
6-12psi for a supercharger? you can run as much boost on a supercharger as you can on a turbo given one that supports it.

turbo chargers work off the heat coming from the exhaust side of the head. s/c are belt driven and cause drag on the motor. turbo's will give you higher hp #'s but superchargers will be more linear. For daily driving and a fast car, i'd go with a s/c.
