ok 45 bucks u can get new clutches for your diff. our diffs are pretty weak and the clutches go by FAST. get news ones or get an eaton differential. but the clutches are probably all pitted and dont hold worth a dang.

only 1 tire mark during burnout?...Does the 01 GT have some kind single wheel drive system?
Mustang GTs have a limited slip rearend. There are instances where only one tire will spin, but if you are doing a burnout it should be leaving 2 stripes. The clutches inside of the rearend will wear out over time, and this could be what happened.
