Hey guys, I have a 2003 Cobra w/ 600 miles to it. At first start up when the motors cold the engine has a tapping noise. When the engine warms up it quiets down a little but it's still noticeable. Has anyone experienced this? Is this normal? Thanks in advance for all your help.

I would take it to Ford and have them work on it I don't think it would cost you anything.

I'm assuming you are running 93 octane, correct? If not, then that would definitely be the first thing I would think is wrong. If you're running the right gas, then I still don't think it's a big problem. When I had my 2001 GT, it did the exact same thing, and I took it to the dealer, and they told me to not worry about it, that it was a normal noise that the valves made during break-in. If it got too bad, take it to the dealer and have them check it out. It's under warranty. </P>
