my light went on today indicating that i was running on empty. how many miles can we drive
once that light goes on ?

also, my friends tachometer broke in his 3000gt and it says he is going 0 miles per hour
and has 214473 miles. his mileage isnt recording anylonger, which i guess is cool for him
but can he get in trouble for that ? im sure it isnt easy to break one of those things because
otherwise, everyone would be doing it. so should he fix it?

There is no law saying you cant stop the tach.... but you cant rewind the numbers....

If its ten years or older the miles are exempt. And its not against the law, they'll just annouced TMU. (True miles unknown)

My light comes one when there is somewhere between 1 - 1 1/2 Gallons left.

My buddy found a way in his 99-00 explorer to take out one of the fuses (or something) so that it wouldn't recoed his mileage since he was going to go over on his lease.
