people don't use them on daily drivers because they are generally not as realiable as the stock one.

Alot of people say they are not as reliable, but I have yet to see any proof either way.

A very simple circuit can be setup to protect your car. Install a amperage switch with a N/C relay on the water pump, and put it in sieres with a bright light and/or buzzer. Install the light somewhere in the cabin (I would think behind a register vent would be ideal) and your done. If the pump fails, it will stop pulling amperage, and you will have a nice bright light shining in your face if it fails.

It should be well under 30 or so bucks to do the switch setup, and then you can run a electric pump all you want on the street.

yeah... I have no idea what you just said... But if you say it's possible, I'll put it on my shopping list... and when ever I get the money (hopefully soon, cuz I just got another job), I'll buy it, we'll see, I'm just looking forward to the 11HP that I've heard it frees up.
