Id say I have had my mgw installed on my 3650 for about 2 months now. i had a question.. does anyone notice a tad bit of side play while in first with the shifter? is this normal?

and if im goin to bring my gt in to have the TSB on Synchros redone.. should I TAKE MY MGW OFF??

i have had my MGW on for 3 weeks now, and there is still some "side play" in it, but very little. if you are going for work on your tranny i would def. take off the MGW, and put the stocker back on.

To keep things from getting out of hand, just swap it out.

Just talked to service at my ford dealer and he said as long as nothing is altered in the trans, you are ok with the aftermarket shifter. He also told me that they would need to order the syncro kit from detroit and it takes a while to get in. Hope that helps/

i went in for that tsb...and they ordered the synchro kit...and they screwed up the install and had to order me a whole new transmission

+ brand new transmission.

- ford had my car for like 2 freaking weeks. big PITA.

What is the TSB actually for? I noticed early that my trans didn't always sync right, but I thought it was just something I was gonna have to deal with. So, what do I need to tell Ford to get my synchros replaced?

tell ford you saw a technical service bulletin(TSB) out for your year car and they should replace it for free.
