Default Valve lenght differences.

In my PI swap the lobes are not having room to rotate or something. What are the differences between the lenghts of the valves from the 96 gt heads to the PI heads.

I don't think it's a valve problem. Did you try to rotate the crank by hand and it won't go?

Default RE: Valve lenght differences.

A performance shop is doing it for me. I had 3 exhaust valves redone by a head shop when i got it ported and polished, but I can't see them messing up the lenghts of the valves. The shop said they would hate for it to be a width problem and not a length problem, just trying to find out what it could be. I'm just trying ot get some info. They said worst case scenario I could order the new valves and they could put them in, but I don't know. Any suggestions.

I was thinking they didn't have it timed right and that's why the cams wouldn't spin. I hope they know what they're doin. How many Mod motors have they built before?

All it takes is one to two teeth off, and the vavles will hit your pistons, because your pistons do not have the dish that a PI motor does. I have this feeling they are lining up the timing marks wrong. []
