hi im new to the site i just recently bought a 1999 silver mustang gt and after i bought it a few of my friends start telling me that the mustang i bought is a bad year they say the 4.6's from 95-99 our bad engines im not sure if its all bull**** and there saying it because there jealous or what

hmm thas weried cuz they never made 4.6's in 95's. and the 99 4.6's is different then the 96 to 98. you got the "better" 4.6. you have the PI engine that were put in the 99's to 04's soo tell your friends that they need to do more reseach before bombing on your car.

They are full of $h!t .... your car and engine are just fine. Tell your friends to read a book and learn something, then come back and talk to you about your car.

The 99 was the first year for the PI engine. It make more HP than stock 92 5.0 which I believe was the best year for that motor.
I would stick with jealousy.

I know they used 4.6L in Tbirds - 93-97 I believe.

yep only thing wrong with 99's in my opinion are the headlights, the smoked ones look so much better-+

They say bad engines cause they are 2v with 215/225hp. And you need a bunch of add-ons
for improvement. I have a 97 with a s/c 8psi and the motor is sound with absolutely no leaks.
I mean not a drop of oil leaks and not a drop of oil burned after 2500 hardcore miles

I assume you mean at the wheels? A 99 2v 4.6 is rated at 260 flywheel horsepower and about 225-230 rwhp.
