S/c will net more than PI heads. You could port and polish yours later though to make more power.

Personally, if I had a 96-98 gt, the first thing I would do would be a pi head/cam/intake swap. I would do all of that stuff first, then put on the supercharger.

you cant do both unless you want to spend big bucks, cuz you get to a 10.1 compression as it is with the new pi heads on a non pi motor, so in order to blow it, you gotta lower the compressions and build the lower end

About how much would it cost to have the heads ported and polished? (the npi heads already on the car)

Alot if you cannot pull the heads yourself. The port job itself shouldn't be much more than 800 or so bucks.

SUPERCHARGER first. The PI heads will only get you caught up to the new egde GT's. Get the supercharger and you will be over 300 RWHP easy.

or you could get an entire new engine, pi intake/heads stage 2 cams, put on a couple of small boltons like the tb/plenum and you have over 300rwhp n/a, and it also gives you the option to go with lower compression pistons/notched for that agressive cam and future supercharger.

- that is still cheaper than a full KB supercharger /w intercooler..
