My stang died/stalled during cruise...
And uhm, its not the IAC cuz I recently replaced it =D
Wtf is going on here? i have done all the tune-ups (new spark plugs and replaced the iac valve just last month) and the car died when I was cruising.. Nothing worked, brakes failed, gas pedal fked and no power steering... Good thing is, I had time to react and just turned the car on again and started braking like crazy right when there was a car 20 feet from me :/ Could this be an electrical problem. I've had this happen to my stang once a month. Doesn't happen very often... I wonder what it could be.. ANy ideas?
P.S. The stang starts right back up without any hesitation when I turn the ignition....

Did you recently install your cold air intake?
low on gas?
add cams?
mine did that once but i think it was cause of the cams and i was braking, i think the load of getting on the brakes had something to do with it.

yea if your battery level is low it is prob your alternator. get that checked out. there could be alot of things. fuel may be getting cut off somehow. fuel pump? injectors?

I don't see it being the alternator. If it was bad the battery would be dead, and even if it just cuts out the battery will run for a LONG time with no alternator on, certianly more than a few seconds. Plus, it would not restart.
I would look more for a temporary open in the "on" circuit from the key. But its going to be a total bitch to track down.
I had my car do this maybe once or twice after the cams tune, always at the same speed and when I pushed the clutch in. Never figured it out and it finnally went away.

This has happened to me twice now- the reason being the removal of the MAF screen. When I installed the JLT RAI it didn't call for the screen to be in anymore, so I removed it. If you have removed this screen for your BBK intake then I can gurantee with 99% that this is causing the stalling. The MAF sensor every once in a great while (especially when decelerating with clutch and brake in) will get a bogus reading and causer the car to die. The only fix is to put the screen back in.

ur gonna have to scan it, it could easily be a sensor somewhere acting up. IE crank or cam sensor, particularly the crank sensor. if the computer loses that signal in any way, engine dies/doesn't start but once it gets it back all is well
