Default I'm in BIG trouble...I think

So I just spent almost a grand on some new wheels and tires and I'm driving up to the shop to get them mounted and put on the car. Well I get about half way there and my car start missing like crazy. So I think to myself...well it sat all winter, maybe it needs a tune up. So I have my buddy come over, he's a tech at a GM dealership, and suggests I try the tune up. We replace the plugs and find coolant in the last cylinder on the passenger side....intake manifold is probably bad he tells me [&:] So here's the deal, I searched on here because I heard Ford was recalling, or at least reimbursing people for this problem, because it has happened to so many people. Does anyone have any info for me, some good news please!! I just spent all my money making my car look nice and now I got nothing left to make it run like a Mustang should, so if anyone can give me a suggestion, or let me know if that recall is in effect I would really appreciate it. Thanks

im replacing my intake manifold as we speak, i dont suspect any coolant in any plugs, but ill find out here soon. the intake they use does fail, in the crossover on the front of the intake, coolant doesnt go anywhere else through that intake, so if you have coolant in the plugs, well, its probably a head gasket eh. thats just my 2cents.

Now I may be wrong, but I think there may be a recall on the 1998 Gt Manifold. It would definetely be worth looking into. I got my mustang from my brother and he said that there was a coolant leak. He got it fixed and filed a complaint. Evidently Ford decided to replace it for free because it was their fault that the manifold was made of all plastic. LOOK INTO IT!!! I hope I'm right for your sake

you already missed the cut off date by 2 months but i would try to get reembursed from the dealer or see if they will still replace your intake anyway. but i had mine done, i had a coolent leak but no coolent was found in any plugs , it just leaked out from the top front of the intake.

IN the CYLINDER.... or in the PLUG HOLE...

Two very different things. Even a coolant leak wouldn't cause a miss... and when Ileaked coolant, it never seeped past the plugs and into the cylinders.
