Coolant in the cylinder??????

RE: Coolant in the cylinder??????
if its the cyl closest to the firewall on the passenger side, check the part where the heater core connects.
It may just be leaking, or, like in my case, it may be cracked...
The sparkplug holes on the SOHC 4.6 engine are a good 3" deep. If it get filled up with coolant you'll get a bad miss even though the leak is external.
The manifold price for a PI is about $220.
Replacing it yourself is not that difficult.
You'll need a metric socket set (good quality - like Sears-Craftsman, Snap-on, Mac, not stanley, with extensions) and a torque wrench and a quick-disconnect tool.
The PI intake I got had the gaskets built in which is nice.
You may want to pick up some injector o-rings or possibly even new injectors (I found a set of 8 venum #19 for $103 shipped)
The most tricky part of the whole procedure is probably the fuel lines... The rest is just simply unhooking/unbolting stuff.
Spend extra time cleaning the heads so that your new manifold seats properly.

Hey thanks for the responses guys, I appreciate it. I went out and checked it out and sure enough I found coolant leaking out the bottom of that hose. Put on a new hose clamp and hopefully that will do it!
