20 inch rims on a mustang is as gay as aids

...and that rear end isn't?

I say if you find some you like, then go for it. Despite popular belief, everyone didn't buy their mustangs to race them.
guy whats gay about it. i have about 30 different PM's asking where to get that decal. every show i go to i get compliments. the only people i see with 20 inch rims that aren't SUVs are the ricers. your a moron if you think 20's will look good on a mustang.

how about this have a poll and see what the outcome is

Thanks for all your responces and opinions
I am from England, where there is a big Sports compact influence
big wheels and massive drops is what its all about over there!

Performance is a big issue for me as i am retiring from sports bikes (too dangerous, now i am married)
I want to feel the extreme acceleration again, but be safer!

I am saving for a convertible gt 99-04, i guess when i get my american
muscle! (2.0 is a big engine in the UK! gas is $9 a gal!!!!) i will get 18" saleen style
rims.

how low would u guys drop the suspension? and what would u use e.g springs or coilover?

if you want something thats appealing go 18 in the rear 17 up front. i've seen people dropping their cars 2" and it has a nice stance. oh and convertibles are[:'(] and thats crazy for gas. don't know what the difference in currency in comparison with the U.S. but I pay $3.05 for super here in Massachusetts.

I actually saw a Black GT in Norfolk, Va with 22" rims just this past Friday. I could only shake my head in disgust as he slowly left the parking lot scrubbing as he turned to leave. He definitely did not have to worry about speed bumps (had almost 12" of ground clearance).

I couldn't believe it.

i dont care for the big rims on the new edge style, but it is your car, do what you want. I have seen a couple running 20s and have yest to see one that i thought looked good. I hate the they way they stick way inside the wheel well, like worse than stockers. 20s seem like trying to be bling, and that is soooooooooooooo played out, less you a brotha.

They are very heavy and get thrown up into your shocks 5 times the effect everytime you hit a bump or pothole.
They also are very close for clearance for the front, so your gonna have to rub around most turns as well as take them wider.
18 or 19 is the biggest. Don't go with chromies either for weight reasons, do the polished aluminum. It'll save your suspension
