VT stage 1 cams
well today i went to a car show and met a guy with VT stage 1 cams. He turned it on for me and I wasn't impressed at all with the sound. Made his maganpacks and h-pipe with the cams sound like my lm1s with a x-pipe with the stock cams. I am def going stage 2 just for the sound issue. I got some good feedback about them though and he did the install himself and said it was fairly easy. He has yet to tune it though so he didn't have any dyno numbers. He told me he would let me know how much power he made next time I see him there.

Ya, next to the performance I would want my cams to give off a pretty rough idol. The sound of them is about as important to me as the performance they give.lol

i agree.
i plan on doing the stage 2s but with headwork and building the bottom end following. i want stage 3s for the sound but im afraid driveability and putting the power to use up that high will be useless to me. though i bet they sound amazing

i did vt stage 1s. I wanted 2s but talking alot more $$ with springs and install. They sound ok but not nearly like the 2s. I think the 1s on a stock bottom end are the way to go, you can use all teh power of the cams in an rpm range your engine can support, but the 2s do sound much better. I want a louder exhaust actually. I have full basani and i think it is pretty quiet at idle.

Open headers, then with a full exhaust... Crower Stage 3's 03 Cobra.
