MY car has like 12k miles on it. I drove it to work just like anyother day, now i get in to start it and it just sits there cranking? I checked the Fuel pump shut off switch, its not that... WHATS WRONG?

Anyway, if the battery thing does not work.. Turn the key to the acc position (just before it cranks, battery needs to be connected), go under the hood to the right side of the motor and check to see if you have any fuel pressure in the fuel system. Just to the front of the motor on the right side there is a little service port for the fuel system, push in the little valve and see if fuel "shoots" out. Use a rag, it will shoot out.

my friend had the same problem, so my mechanic (another friend) told him the starter was locking up and he needed his special tool, so he got a hammer and hit the starter a couple of times.... no joke it worked right away

if the hammer works, it is a sign of a starter going bad
