70mm or 75mm?????

Default 70mm or 75mm?????

i wanna get the accufab intake plenum and throttle body..my engine is pretty much stock right now as it sits..i plan on a c.a.i. and headers in the future,,which mm would be better for my application? the 70 or the 75

if you never ever plan on running any sort of FI, 70 mm.

If you do, 75.

Either way you will probably not see a difference. BTW, MM&FF showed almost no gains with their NPI car when it was stock doing the intake boltons.

Yes, headers are always a good choice. I just put some BBK LT's on my car last week. Look at the difference between the stock manifolds and the headers.

bull****. This is like saying that bigger cams are always better, or more porting is always better.

If you cannot flow enough air to take advantage of the bigger t/b you will decrease your airflow speed, and lose horsepower. This is akin (though not to the same extreme) as running extremely large aftermarket heads on a stock displacement engine. You simply do not have the flow to use the size of your parts.

This is espcially true on a NPI car.

I have seen horsepower and torque losses from t/b and intake tract stuff being to large. I will have to dig out the copy of MM&FF where they did redheaded stepchild for the first time, and put the intake stuff on. I think they even ended up taking it off because they lost too much power under the curve.

im definetely getting headers for sure in the near future..im just trying to figure out what size tb'plenum i should go with ..or which ones i should get first
