You got 68 rwhp with gears???? HOw is that possible. Gears do not add any HP. If you got HP from gears it is because the dyno wasn't ran in the gear that has a 1:1 drive ratio. If you ran both dynos (before and after gears) in the same gear (i.e. 3rd gear) then I believe you would see more HP but this would not be correct because your drive ratio would not be 1:1 anymore with the 4.10's in the rear. Gears DO NOT add HP, they only get you into your powerband quicker.
What I am getting at was that my rear wheel #'s would have been higher w/out the 4.10 in back. I am very well aware of what my gears do and how they scew dyno #'s; but thanks for the refresher. I am sorry if i wasn't clear enough.

If N/A was the right way to get 350rwhp, why would Ford supercharge the 03/04 Cobra to compete?

Even Ford realized it was best to boost. And they have more than enough money to spend on a car...

ford didn't have an ulitmate goal of 350 rwhp when they built the cobra.

if they intended to stop at 350, i highly doubt they would have built it the way they did.

I don't believe I said they had an ultimate goal of 350 rwhp.

He wanted to know how to get there. My point was that Ford wanted to put down good numbers with the Cobra and went with a SC setup. If 350 was had easily or reasonably had with NA, Ford would've gone that way to get were they wanted to go.

why is it so hard to build up a modular motor N/A? Yet it is so easy to hit 300 rwhp with a H/C/I swap on a 5.0. I don't get it.

there are no aftermarket heads for the 4.6. the ones you see are really just re-worked stock heads.
