I dont have the invoice right in front of me, but I the labor was about $350 for the gear install (incl fluids). Im sure Ill be thrown off the board for stating this, but I'm not experiencing the "fun factor" that everyone else seems to be after installing 4.10's. Its not the noticeable upgrade I assumed it would be. Off the line, Im not feeling much of a difference from stock, which surprises me.

Yeah, gears don't require a break-in period... It's not like engines or trannies that have lots of little crevices, and stricter tolerances that need to be filled..

hmmm......well i hope i feel something, otherwise its almost $1500 down the drain, and then it will be bad news bears. I got to take a ride in a KB supercharged GT pushing 12psi, on a stock motor, no other upgrades except a intake, it felt slow as hell, i figured there would be alot of torque pushing you into the seat, but i was wrong. To me it felt stock and really slow, the only cool thing was the high pitched wistle. Anyway jjfrehe, were are you from.

I actually live in Geneva, IL which is about t 2 1/2 hours NW of Clinton. I decided to drive down so I could visit some friends in Normal.

Maybe Im babying the car too much with the new gears and all, but Im a little disappointed in the results. Maybe Ill just shell out $54k on the Shelby and be done with it.

Ouch, Dyno right after gear install lol... So much for breaking the gears in...

What all mods do you have?

LOL - I knew someone would reply with that statement. The guys over there swore up and down that gears do not need any special break-in period. I guess we'll see.

my installer said the same thing... he actually encouraged me to fishtail out of the parking lot

Gears really don't need to be broken it, but the bearings like a couple small heat cycles...

I knew it! Anderson Ford might do good work, but damn are they overpriced for labor. They wanted close to 900 bucks for my cam install. Straightline performance in new lenox, Il only wants 425!! Plus they are cutting me a deal on the dyno tune. You guys in Illinois should definetly check them out. www.straightlineperformance.com

I will be going to Anderson sometime next month to get the car dynoed. How much did they charge you a run?
