Now i know that owning an 03-04 cobra is a dream we all have. However the damn things are just way too freakin expensive especially for those of us in college. How long before you guys think they'll be affordable to us poor guys? I'm talkin like comin down into the $15,000-$20,000 range.

My guess is they will see a decent drop when the Shelby's come out, but I still think they'll be around 20k. My guess is another two years.

insurance wont drop much though, thats the only reason i dont have one.

for a low mileage, stock one the price will stay in the 20-25k range..no less. Limited #s and the intense #s the car puts out stock and can put out with some minor mods will keep the price up. Price will drop a little with the new cobra though.

You will find an affordable one when it's not worth owning (i.e. wrecked, running ragged, about to blow, etc.).

Gotta wait until they start racking up mileage. Time wont help with this car because it was low production numbers, and they are still in SUPER HIGH demand. I have looked at several in the last few weeks, and they only lasted days if not hours at the dealers I was looking. I cant seem to find one here in IL thats not sold. Or I find some asshat selling his privately and wants $30K for a cobra with 40K miles. Its crazy.

theyre not already affordable? Unless you can find another car with 390 hp for under 30k then I'll stick with saying that the cobra is affordable all things considered.

I guess affordable is a relative term.

I'll have similar numbers for barely over half of that. It's not a Cobra but it will be a Mustang with 390 hp for 18k.
