Default those with Densecharger CAI

OK you guys know the green air filter that comes with it right? Well I'm wondering if I can just swap that out and stick a K&N in there. Reason being I think it needs to be changed or cleaned and I didn't order the cleaning stuff for the filter when I bought the CAI.

Well, you can order the cleaning kit and wait a little bit for it to ship. I wouldn't go buy a K&N, unless you already have one. To answer your question, I don't see any reason why you couldn't swap out the Green for a K&N. Just make sure its the same size! Actually, John DeMolet (Owner of Tunable Induction) told me when I got my Densecharger a while ago I could have a K&N but he thought the Green Filter was better.

Well if you still have a warranty with your car, the K&N would void it because of the oil element.

Why would you want too? The new green filters gave the densechargers ever more horsepower. There is no need to swap them out. They are idenitcal, just green.

Go out and buy a k/n cleaning kit.... It'll work to clean the green one. No reason spending $50 on a new filter when the green one is basically the exact same as a k/n.

Go to autozone. They have the cleaning kit there. [&:]

I wondered about this myself, so I emailed Demolet about using the K&N oil with the Green filter. According to them, the K&N cleaning products will work fine.
