RE: Stock gears 98 gt
i have 3.73's and i turn 2500 at 75 mph in 5th. 3.73's in a T45 stang are like 4.10's in a 3650 stang, and it is a bit much for a stock cammed street car. unless turning like 2500 at 70 mph is ok with you.

to make a long story short.....go with 4.10s or go home!

Well I pretty much threw out the gear idea when I posted that topic about a shop charging me $550.00 to install them even if I gave them all the parts. Well....I found out today that I should be able to get it done for like $150-200.

unless you have a T45 96-01 stang, this is what you're going to mumble to yourself everyday.
my 3.73 reccomendation is for T45 stick shift cars.
if your an auto, i'd go with 3.90's or 4.10's. as long as you dont mind the extra rpm's on the highway.

2:73 on coupes...Some Verts had 3:10 beacuse of weight issues.

Although a lot of cars came with 2.73, there was optional 3.08 and 3.27 gears.
