i just did gears on my 96 coupe 5-speed and we took out 2.73's and put in 3.73's and holy crap that was a great idea.

im glad i didnt do 4.10's the rpms would be too high on the highway but thats important because I have a long relatively high speed commute

I love it when people say this. Lets think about it for a minute. An extra 300 RPM when engine is turning at 2400 RPM already w/ 3.73's. An extra 300 RPM to go the same speed with 4.10's is and extra 12.5% more RPM's that your engine has to turn. SO when turning at 2700 RPM going 80 MPH instead of 2400 RPM goin 80 MPH, that is you engine working 12.5% harder to get the same job done. Heat is the numebr one killer of engines. SO as long as you have you cooling system in good shape, and maintain you car well you will be fine. But, do not say "only 300 RPM" until you put it in perspective.

2:73 on coupes
...Some Verts had 3:10 beacuse of weight issues.
I think I still disagree

4.10's aside will a noticable difference be made with 3.73's, even if i get used to them after several months or not will they be noticable?

yes a big difference. driving my friends bone stock 96 with 2.73's felt like driving a honda civic compared to my 98 with 3.73's. (and lots o mods)
