opps I didn't know i would need long tubes but it does make since.

Ok what about this list then:

1.) 4.10 gears
2.) BBK throttle body and plenium
3.) CAI
4.) DR's (stock rims)
5.) short throw shifter
6.) Lowering springs
7.) Chip

I think I could install most of that my self and I would still lose about 1/2 second if not maybe a little more.
forget the "chip" unless you get a handheld. With the handheld you can acutally do some of hte programming on your car (gear ratio etc) and if you get the right brand your local shop should be able to put tunes in them. You can also connect the SCT to your computer and datalog (with a cheap cable) and accept programs from over the internet.

Are you planning on LTs later? If you are not, replace the intake stuff with a X pipe.

Know that even the nittos are not gonna last more than about 10,000 miles. If you don't want to be replacing tires that often, spend a little more and get a catback.

I also could put the money in to getting a 99 convertible cobra and putting all those same mods on. There are 2 99 cobras for sale around my area for the same price of a 01 GT. So I know this is probably a dumb questions but do you think it would better to wait for a 99 cobra convertible to show up and just be satisfied for a one year older car and a little more insurance?

dont be scared of pullies (just make sure theyre steeda or some other brand that is non-piggyback)...they will not hurt your engine in the least and will give you about 6-8 rwhp as well as improve your gas mileage slightly. Intake spacers are a waste of time they will net you little, if any hp/torque.

+1

KEEP your stock stuff though. I didn't keep mine, and ended up trading them for some stockers. I got lucky, the stockers are expensive from ford!

I would only sugest a JLT ram intake over a MAC and I say MAC because I had one and it sucked, I have not had a BBK so I would not coment on it other than it looks the same as the MAC.
