Default ATI vs. Vortech

Hey all, this summer I plan on getting my mustang blown and and am thinking about going the centrifugal route. Usually the two I hear most talked about are the Procharger and Vortech. I was wondering the advantages/disadvantages of each, as well as the cheapest place to buy a quality kit. As of right now I am leaning toward the ATI setup because I would prefer an intercooler over an aftercooler. I am unsure if this makes a difference in which kit I should choose, but I currently have a cat-back on the car as well as plan to add a tb/plenum and 3.73 gears before the blower goes on. I greatly apreciate any info anyone can provide.

I am also going to be s/c'ing my gt within the next month or two. After doing tons and tons of research, I have decided to go with the Mongoose Kit-Vortech SQ trim kit with a powerpipe, and I am still deciding whether or not to do the aftercooler. I've read that Vortech's quality and results are just as good if not better than Procharger, and they are way cheaper. The Mongoose kit is around 4 grand, and that includes everything you could possibly need for the install...just my opinion

Procharger all the way.

Comes intercooled and you don't have to tap into your oil pan.

go onto prochargers website and request for there info packet. i got mine in the mail gave me some good info. the only thing i saw on one website is that the procharger is not as efficient as the vortech. but the procharger does keep the intake air temp a few degrees cooler. i think im going to go with the d1sc due to its nice whine and ability to make better power. but first comes the headwork and forged shortblock. i just need the money now.

Everything except the intercooler. ProCharger's P-1SC kit comes with almost everything for the same price, it has an intercooler but DOES NOT include the recommended 42# injectors for the 99-04 GT's.

It makes me wonder why they would provide the 255lph in-tank fuel pump but not include the injectors.

The two best sites I have found so far are http://rpmoutlet.com/musv8ati.htm for the Procharger and http://modularpowerhouse.com/product...0f3c54bf2750b3 for the vortech.

The RPM outlet kit appears to come with injectors for the 99-04 but when I ordered my directly from ATI it didn't come with injectors. Of course, I also paid less and it works out about the same after i ordered the injectors seperately.

Procharger= Cheaper, Better, No Oil Pan Crap, Intercooled not water cooled, no battery relocation, much easier install, and the ability to boost well over 600hp= BOOF MAMA
