Need answer about bumper cover 99 GT

Need answer about bumper cover 99 GT
Stupid question, but I don't know. I am looking at a 1999 GT for my wife (I hae a '05gt)
The back bumper cover is smooth. But most mustangs I see from the '99 era have the word "mustang" embossed into the cover. Was that an option? Or part of a premium package? It definately is a GT, VIN says so on Carfax. It is an automatic (perfect for the mrs.)
Any/ all input would be greatly appreciated.

That's kind of what I was thinking-it's maybe a cheap replacement part. Even though it carfaxed clean, the door aligment isn't perfect. It's a plain bumper cover, nothing fancy. Perhaps from a v-6?
The dealer is holding out for bigger bucks , and I just don't think it's what it's represented to be. (But the wife really really likes it!)

Carfax is not a sure-fire way to check the car... People can pay out of pocket and never tell the insurance and it will never go onto a carfax report.
Sounds like to me that someone had it filled in and painted again for some reason..
