Why does alot of people here dislike Flowmasters?
I like the sound that they put off, nice deep tone to them. Thinking about getting me a catback if I keep this car. Why does everyone here hate them?

Most people hate them because of the drown. It really doesn`t bother me. I love the sound of my flows. But I do have to say the quality sucks. The catbacks are made of aluminized steel which will rust out vs. stainless that will last a lifetime.

I've got flows and I do like them, but they could be a little louder for my liking... They are just so well known that everyone just thinks about flows when they hear a mustang or truck or whatever and they assume that's what you have.

The number one question I get from my exhaust is:

I absolutely love my flows. they make stangs sound sooo beefy and powerful. I love that low gurgle. I cant wait to gett the o.r H to help it wake up on the noise side a little bit.

I heard the american thunder kit for the 99-04GT on my buddys 03 gt with a mac offroad prochamber, and I'm seriously thinking about trading my LM2's for a new am thunder kit. It sounded so hot, and I LOVE the drone. It is fun when you are just crusing, and give the throttle a tap and it just squaks.

I personally don't like them because
1. They are not the best flowing muffler
2. Too many people with them, I don't want to sound like everyone else
3. Drone

thats what makes them unique, and what they are, the drone.
i have flowpaths (mac catback) and they also drone..i even get a hardcore drone at 1000rpm, not at 900, not at 1100, but at 1,000, its so loud, and then more at 2,000. only time i drone badly is when i mantain those rpms. otherwise its a deep smooth drone. no but really, i love my exhaust, and wouldnt trade it for any other one, i get comments all the time, even from guys w/ 5.0's, and i've never heard another stang w/ flowpaths around my parts. so.....dont get them, they suck.
my friend has an x-pipe w/ some muffler we havent distuingined, not a catback though, and his exhaust is just mean, its a ripper, and its loud. i enjoy my exhaust much more.
just my 2cents. i know theres a lot of wonderful sounding exhausts out there, each appealing to different types of people. all i can say is please, get rid of the stock exhaust if you have one.
