the best way to spend 1500 bucks is to go ahead a paypal to me 1499.00 and then go buy yourself a pack of gun to chew while i spend your money!
Sound liek a plan to me!

Heads are 395 each NEW from ford, with camshafts installed:

PI intake: 209 bucks NEW from ford:

Thats only a grand right there. 500 bucks more should easliy cover everything else you need (gaskets etc).

You might not get it all installed for 1500 bucks, but it would be close, and you would make a crapton more power and be way faster than a 98 NPI car with exhaust and gears.

EDIT: here is the kit for changing the heads: (115 bucks)

I bought pi heads and cams for $325 including shipping and a pi intake, injectors, throttle body and plenum off an 02' stang for $180. $505 and all you need is gaskets and a heater hose to complete the job. You can pick up the gaskets and heater hose from Ford. If you want a good install it will cost you though! Anywhere from $750-$1,250 plus depending on the area and shop recognition. An alternative to the head swap would be to buy a supercharger made specifically for your year/make/model. You can easily see up to 100 hp gain with the right setup.

The cams are in the heads already, READ the links.

And this is from FORD. ANYONE else, espcially with used stuff, is going to sell it to you for WAY less.

The shop I used to have the cams installed charged me 500 bucks for the install, and they told me it would have only been a few hundred more to have the heads pulled. I was kicking my own *** for not having them do it and have em ported.

So maybe not exactly 1500 bucks, but it would be fairly cheap. I cannot imagine the install costs were over 1000 bucks.
